The Asana Set is a custom bedroom furniture system designed and fabricated in Colorado, consisting of a matching dresser and pair of nightstands. Rather than treating the dresser and nightstands as separate pieces, the system was designed as a unified set with shared geometry, rhythm, and surface detailing. The goal was to create a calm, architectural furniture presence that integrates naturally into modern residential interiors while introducing subtle interaction through light and material depth.

Design Concept

The Asana Set is based on the idea of controlled simplicity with hidden complexity.

At first glance, the furniture presents clean, minimal forms. On closer interaction, layered detailing emerges through CNC-carved surface rhythm, resin inlays, and integrated lighting.

The design intent was to balance:

Materials & Fabrication

Each piece was built using a combination of traditional woodworking and digital fabrication techniques.

• Through-wood LED lighting integration (12V low-voltage system)

• Hand sanding and oil-based finishing process
